We all need a bit of time with our girl tribe where we can fully relax and unwind, am I right? An escape from the day to day duties is something we all deeply crave. What better way to do that than glamping with your favourite girls!?
Being around friends improves your mood, helps combat anxiety and just let's you be "you" again. Whether you are a group of mum's who need a break away from the norm, work colleagues or just good old friends it is so important, not selfish at all, to have some time away together.
Camping is an experience many of us are fond of - but let's face it, to others it is their idea of hell. But, I must admit, glamping is a game changer, you get all that outdoor time without the hassle as everything is already set up for you. Perfect!
If sipping Mimosa's in a hot tub, chatting around a crackling campfire, toasting marshmallows and then sinking into a cosy double bed after a fun day with your besties sounds like your thing, then glamping is for you.
When I’m looking to relax, I couldn't think of a better way than having a good old giggle in a tranquil, outdoor setting, under the stars, with a little bit of glam luxury thrown in.
Forget the poky, leaky, cold tent you'd have to crawl into, when you glamp you'll have plenty of space to stand up in inside your tent. Real beds, a comfy mattress, fluffy pillows and duvets, rugs and fairy lights all make for a home away from home.
Plus glamping is so much cheaper than staying in a hotel! If you don't fancy cooking on the fire you can go and use the kitchen area, you'll even have a fridge and hob which you can use. All the plates, cups and cutlery is there for your convenience too.
Our site has hot showers, toilet blocks and are walking distance to local pubs if you all fancy a day out. After your day, what's better than chilling in the hot tub, with a glass of bubbles?
You don't have to be an expert in fire-lighting or bush craft - this is just about enjoying yourselves and being in the great outdoors with your favourite friends, breathing in the fresh morning air and laughing the night away. We all know how spending time outside is good for us, mentally and physically. When paired with relaxation and good company, all your stresses will melt away.
Why not join us for our fabulous Girls Go Glamping one night breaks.

Have a digital detox at Canvas and Stars Glamping
I guess we are all familiar with the saying; “There is no WiFi in the forest but you’ll get a better connection.”
More and more people are taking a bit of time out to reconnect with nature and have a digital detox.
What is a digital detox?
Well, it’s stepping away from our daily necessity of using electronics, mobile phones, our laptops, social media…..
We’re all so consumed in this lifestyle, be it part of our jobs or just the obsession of checking Facebook and Instagram every few minutes – it is really not healthy. A digital detox makes you switch off your electronics and reconnect with reality and nature and just be with the people around you and take in the surroundings.
Here are some facts
The average person checks their phone 200 times a day.
73% of people say they'd struggle to go a day without checking their phone or laptop.
One in four people spend more time online than they do sleeping.
Wow, it looks like we are a world of tech addicts. Why not step away for a few nights? We know our phones are important parts of our modern lives but a breath of fresh air does the world of good. That’s why we love glamping and getting back to nature.
You obviously will want to take photos whilst you are glamping but you don’t need to share them on social media immediately. By all means bring a camera or use your smartphone but save the social media shares until you get home – yes we all like to see who’s liked our photos but it can wait.
Disconnecting for a few days really does help you reconnect. We all know being outdoors is good for you – it is even prescribed by some doctors. Shinrin Yoku is a Japanese term that means “forest bathing” or taking in the atmosphere of the woodland.
On a glamping trip you can take in nature’s beauty in the meadows or woodland, spend quality time with family and friends out walking and eating in the fresh air. Learn some new skills like foraging, bushcraft or fire lighting – learning something new makes us feel good about ourselves.
Relax under the stars in a peaceful atmosphere, have a drink around the campfire and just enjoy each other’s company. We are all guilty of having our faces buried in our screens at home.
If a digital detox is just what you need we’d be happy to welcome you at Canvas and Stars. Take a look at our sites – two even have hot tubs.
So, go on challenge yourself to switch off your electronics for the day – we guarantee you’ll feel so much better.
